Took myself here for a birthday dinner. The staff were lovely, and did a great job taking care of me. Not my first time here, but happy it's still fantastic in all the ways that count. I was so happy with everything I ate, it was all well prepared, tasted fantastic, and it was more than reasonable in price for the quality, presentation, and flavor (Austin is hit and miss for fine dining quality vs cost). Thanks to the staff for a fantastic dinner!

One of the best meals we’ve had. Food was excellent, with a wide range of flavors- from salty and savory to floral, fresh, citrus. We had an incredible server who knew the menu well and curated our somakase to perfection. The ambiance was perfect for conversation with light music in the background. You just have to go, see and taste for yourself!

I would give more stars if I could. One of the best meals of my life! My partner and I are service industry and have enjoyed many fabulous restaurants (red ash, odd duck, Jeffery’s, Peche, sway). We were blown away by the flavors and creativity on the menu. Sean and Anna took great care of us at the sushi bar. The vibe is chill, efficient, knowledgeable and comfortable. It was our first time experiencing any of the uchi restaurants and we will definitely be returning and going to the rest. Thank you for making my birthday so memorable!

my sister and i went there for happy hour to celebrate her birthday and our waiter dane took the most incredible care of us. very thoughtful with his recommendations, highly knowledgeable on the menu, and even gave us a few surprises that made us feel like we were vip guests. the happy hour prices were great given the cost of fish and quality of food they provide. everyone else who else brought us our dishes were also incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. we would definitely come back and we definitely recommend. thank you guys for the 10/10 night <3

2nd time Austin visitor and couldn’t miss dining here! My daughter and I sat at the bar and it was a fun experience! Very one on one service! Atmosphere is versatile: not quiet, but not loud; can be cozy and entertaining at the same time! So smartly designed. Try the unfiltered Sake! The food was exceptional. Nothing looks the same. Chefs here come up with amazing combinations of fish, textures, colors, and flavors that blend perfectly. Loved the Charred Edamames! An odd one but great was the mushroom one! Oh…. Must try the banana desert…. Muahhh! Not cheap! But you can taste and feel the quality and the dedication on each serving! I declare UCHIKO my one place to go when I visit Austin!
